Basically, all people known what the most important during DX..either antenna or propagation are the most to take care or else..sometimes the solar cycle not shown any active activity but still can use for DX..what the idea here, sometimes data slightly different against the actual one..but we have to try it, then we know the amaze things with propagations..to make the DX happened, the most important are :

1. Propagation
2. Position / Location of QTH
3. Antenna
4. Operator experience
5. Equipment
6. Equipment operation

Propagation
Solar cycle most important for any DX activities..if band condition are bad, DX will be bad also..

Position / Location of QTH
Latitude at any QTH will effect with transmission..which more open & no obstruction..

Antenna
Doesn't matters whether homebrew or factory made..the antenna must be resonant at any band want to work..

Operator experience
Base on any previous history or pattern of solar cycle will make any DX easy & faster..

Equipment
Nowadays transceiver come with very good accessories like filter, DSP, Processor etc..so, no need to worry on that..just to make sure the equipment working well..

Equipment operation
In this cases, the transceiver, coaxial cable & antenna must connected well with take care power losses as well..to minimize losses & to make nice DX..

all info above are related with us to make our DX realize & pleasure..nice day doesn't mean the propagation are there but need to compare with the solar cycle data..this will be improve our experience for DX..

Condolence

Seymour (left)

My self & family with our hams members here would like to express our condolences to OM Seymour (W6CCP) & family, lost his beloved XYL about last 2 weeks ago..we extend wishes hope you will be strong to continue your life journey..pray for your XYL will in peace at 'there'..actually, quite surprise me when this OM coming to my call last night after a long time ago doesn’t heard his voice..but he come with sad news..i think, we had QSO about last 2 months, which he said he need rush go to hospital to look his XYL..by that time, i’m only can pray for his XYL will recover soon..& last night he gave me this really sad news..Dear OM Sey, nothings much we from West Malaysia can say but we will pray for you & your family in very good health..so far, you coming to West Malaysia with blasting audio..we will miss your voice..hope you will be strong to continue your life & come back to this hobby with cheer..

Suffix

Today, i smiled alone when saw this QSL card..not too many incoming QSL today about 12pcs. only..but this QSL make me smile..when i remember back at the first time QSO with him (Luigi)..i was asking him to repeat his callsign three times for confirmation..hi hi..after that i smile alone..very happy to heard on the air with the same suffix..hi hi..hope after this, i can get more contacts with suffix 'ODY' at the band..don't worry dear Luigi, your QSL has been replied once i recieved the card, not forgotten the rest as well..to all dear Friends, as per promised, 100% reply is my tag..don't worry be happy..just wait my QSL at your post box..

DX & Time

Today, a lot of references can be use like HAP Charts, Solar-terrestrial data & etc..all these can be find at internet..but how it works..the data's was done by old timer professional person which is have a long long time to be done the experiments & experiences..the data was base on the main element in the world..like water, wind, fire (solar), earth..then become some humidity..all these element have been experimented & can be use for the Prediction of Propagation..

The question is 'how far this data can be use on hams activities?' very hard to answer right..if we back by year 50's - 70's, there have a book supply for malitiry to calculate what freq can be use at that day & time..quite long calculation needed to get the actual freq..the book called S-10..every months the book will be change..because the value are diffrents..& that was by that time but today no need..just switch on the transciever, put some power, tuned antenna & transmit..to test the propagation..sometimes we heard seem like the propagation is good..but try to calling CQ DX..no body pick up..so, assumption is propagation not so good..if propagation not there..just turn off the radio & sleep..try again at another days & times..

**The best time for DX are after SUNSET**
